"Mariama's career as a journalist began when was selected among thousands of candidates to take part in the BBC World Service flagship apprenticeship programme called Future Voices . At a very early stage of her training she showed mature understanding, not only of the international news agenda, but also in developing original ideas into multi-platform journalism. Mariama is incredibly creative , very organised,  work focused and has advanced vision about news coverage and news platforms. Her understanding about young audiences and their media needs  is exceptional. Her story ideas are original and vibrant, away from the boring mainstream agenda. She is a great storyteller knowing the ways to grab the audience.  Mariama is editorially very strong and  her news judgment is strong and reliable.
